b+link is a method of communication in moments of ineffability.

 

In times of communication, we can grow frustrated with our inability to effectively share our innermost feelings in a way that reflects our true emotional state. With have advanced digital tools, but sometimes, words are not enough to convey the feelings we hold inside but cannot express through verbal or written means. By tracking ones emotional state, b+link delivers an emotive audio cue to a person of your choosing. The resulting emotive cue expresses the ineffable emotional layer that is currently missing from our spoken and written languages.    

 

b+link works by classifying electroencephalogram (EEG) signals into separate frequency regions. Regions are then calculated for each ratio of the classified EEG signal frequencies. Then, the computed quotient, which represents the current emotional state, is saved in real time. Finally, the resulting figure is converted into musical notes, and in combination with texts and images, it presents musical chords corresponding to specific emotions.
